Albert Ames began his boat building career working in a shop run by Herb Ditchburn during WWII. Following the war, he worked for Hunter Boats of Orillia, Ontario. In the 1950s, the Ames brothers built a handful of custom boats ranging from 18 to 28 feet in length. Their designs drew similarities from several of the regional builders, with a flare of their own. They would typically complete one boat per winter in their small, Orillia, Ontario shop. Has it's original Chrysler Hemi engine
