Racing #8 of 20 "Number Boats" built by Joseph Leyare in 1910. Original power was a four cylinder 30 hp Jencick motor which was replaced with present, rebuilt 1919 Redwing 32 hp motor. Hull has been rebuilt to original designer specs. These boats were sold on a subscription basis, with each boat assigned a number corresponding to the order of purchase. This numbering system allowed for easy identification during races, as the numbers were prominently painted on the topside at the bow. Leyare is celebrated as a prominent boat builder in the Thousand Islands region, known for his craftsmanship and innovative designs. His work has left a lasting impact on the local boating community
