The 1941 Ventnor hydroplane Slo-Mo-Shun II was a 225-cubic-inch class race boat acquired by Stanley Sayres from "Pop" Cooper after the original Slo-Mo-Shun I sank. Built by the Ventnor Boat Works, this vessel was used by Sayres for racing. One sponson of SLO-MO-SHUN II was damaged in transit, as the story goes, and Sayres asked Ted Jones, who had been building and racing boats since 1927, to help true up the new sponson.
